What sort of scores are people getting with these ?? i get 9,910 in 3dmark 05 is this good? also it wont let me overclock in nvidia panal using coolbits even 1mhz increments?? whats going on ??

Sounds about right as I get just a little under that with my X1800XT overclocked to hell, and as I understand it, the 512MB GTX is a fair bit better than this while the 256MB model is the same.

£264 is fine for that card. its comparable to a 7900gtx i think if overclocked, probably a bit more reliable at the moment too

thing is i can't overclock it... coolbits wont let me.
even 1mhz over on core or memory and it says it is unstable...

Not a BFG (leadtek) so don't know if this helps. My 512mb 7800GTX clocks to 610/1800...anything more and I start to get artifects/tearing. Scores 10,500 3d05. Coolbits worked fine with my card as does rivatuner.

Be safe in the knowledge that I paid £510 when they were first released, so you have a bargain! 2nd hand cards are hard to find and are still asking for silly ££'s. No games out atm that this card struggles to keep up with.

yup, theyre very rare and £260ish is good for one imo. especially if youve already got one and wanted to SLi it, i would imagine it holding its value too, nice purchase

Same as i was thinking realy, the X1900 Is better and cheaper..

People are telling you what you want to hear, but not the exact truth,

I personally think that when the 7800 GTX was released it was a MASSIVE rip off and many people think the same thing, but i suppose the price you paid for it is half ?? the price they were when they were brand new so i suppose you got yourself a good deal.. :)

What LoadsaMoney said; X1900XT > 7800GTX 512MB > X1800XT > 7800GTX 256MB.

Since he was spending £264 on his 7800GTX 512MB, he really should've gotten one of the X1900XT's that are currently selling at £260.

i had a x1900xtx which was good but i only have a 17" monitor now and max res is 1280x1024... still if it ever goes wrong if they aint got any 7800gtx 512's in they will probably give me a 7900gtx.. so cant be bad really. :D

Not at all, and if they don't have stocks of 7900 GTX's they would give you an x1900 XT, as they can supply either brand, as long as its equivalent/or greater performance. :)

As i said, they do not have to give you the same brand, all they have to give you is equivalent/or better performance, so if thats an ATi card at the time, thats what you will get. :p
