How good are bluetooth headphones nowadays?

I have just bought a budget pair of BT headphones. Unsurprisingly they offer mediocre performanec and I think I will return them. Before I spend a lot on a good pair (£100+) I wanted to check whether they are also likely to be poor or whether it's possible to get good quality from BT?

I got these http://www.product-reviews.net/2015/11/26/philips-shb3165-wireless-headphones-review-video/ and for £30 I think they're fantastic.
They look good, battery life is great and the sound is far better than I expected it to be plus the controls actually work.

In the market for a pair of these myself but with only really occasional use I'm not looking to spend a fortune so will check these out too
