As title really. I've read that ppl are getting good results with Sli set ups, but with Xfire still being in it's infancy (ish) I was wondering if the performance is just as good as Sli, better, more costly, more stable, etc.

That latest BF2 patch mentions that you cant run X-FIRE at 1920x1080 (eg widescreen lcd's etc) at high settings as it runs out of video memory and crashes. An issue with the the x-fire implementation so they say.

Anyway, personally I wouldnt, but I wouldnt go SLI either (which seems to be the better of the 2)

HI,

Actually crossfire is technically more advanced than sli in it's implementation. It's performed in hardware rather than software (sli). There are a number of ways crossfire can be used too, it has various methods of dividing the load between the 2 cards. Performance wise I'd say anything from a 25%-35% increase (realistic rather than optimistic). I have 2 of the 1900's in crossfire. Bottom line is this, you don't get double the performance, and it really depends on what you can afford and also your concept of value for money.

Thanks
Raja
