how good is your hearing?

i could only hear up to the 14k one but it doesn't really mean anything - its more down to your pc speakers more than anything else - i doubt my crappy pc speakers are capable of anything higher than 14k.

with a proper frequency generator i reckon most people will be able to hear 21k

then again, maybe i'm just getting old.

Stop being silly and making yourself sound daft.
Any noise you are hearing is coming from your PC.
Here is a screen grab of all the tones off the site and I'll let you guess which one has got nothing in it.

Correct. Just below the ultrasonic ringtones there is a table containing lots of radio buttons called "Hearing test results" and says "Choose the highest pitch tone that you could hear from the list below and click the 'Get result now' button " and if you do click 22.4Khz it says "You are a liar,You claimed to be able to hear a tone that contained absolutely no sound!" so next time you want to lie, have a good look at your sources, idiot

On my headphones the frequency response is 8-30000Hz I reckon that gave me an advantage over crappy pc speakers or sub £100 headphones :)

I cant hear anything past 14.1

Hope its my crappy onboard soundcard. I think I have pretty good hearing

I thought it was my headphones, but I proved that wrong. Still not sure about the soundcard, though.

I can't hear above 14.1 (35 yo). Through my headphones it was clear as day, but over my laptop speakers I could barely hear it. Had to lean in real close.

But, in playing it at max volume, I had a 25 yo (female) coworker, 10 feet away, say "What was that?". I did it again, and got the same results, this time from two of them.

So I tried it with 14.9. Didn't hear any other comments. So I think it might be my soundcard. I'll try it at home.

Yeah, it's gotta be my soundcard. The ringing in my ears is much higher frequency than that. :D

edit: leaning closer to my pc speakers I could hear 14.9. Couldn't hear it from my headphones, though.

Yes, I'm bored.

Awesome. I heard the one before so I guess I have perfect hearing :D

Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 21.1kHz

and i can almost hear that mosquito clip off the bbc site, so i'm nearly not a 'youth' anymore...lol :p
