A bit of an odd topic I know, but I was just pricing up a system on a competitors website and it totals up the weight of the delivery when you look at your basket of kit.

So can you guess how much it thinks the stuff I've put together is? It's a CPU, memory, graphics card, case, PSU, hard drive, DVD writer and a monitor and it's...

...43kg!

Surely that can't be right!? :D

less than one micron long and weighs more than saturn

wheres this lyric from

in answer to the question, quite heavy, despite being a alu case.

It could quite easily depending on what monitor/case/PSU you use (as the most weighty parts). My case is probably weighs upwards of 10kg by itself but then it will withstand almost anything short of a nuclear holocaust. :)

including everything that is connected to my pc i guess about 70+KG
mostly comming from a 30kg CRT monitor

Monitor is about 7kg (24" tft), case (v1200+) is 9kg plus the components inside probably come to about 10kg as I have a rad, big graphics heatsink, couple of HDs etc.

Do speakers count...? If so they weigh 5kg, amp is about 3kg too.
