How high are 23" and 24" monitors ?

Hi all i have a 22" iiuama crt and the hight is 12", I have been to my friends and he has a widescreen 22" monitor which is 11 1/2" in hight.

can anyone tell me how high a 23" and 24" monitor

its just i want to replace my monitor but the 22" are smaller in hight so i do not want to replace my monitor for smaller this is why i am asking thanks.

How high a 23" or 24" screen will be depends on the aspect ratio (and most of the time screen res of the particular model. eg the Samsung SM2433BW is a 24" screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio so the vertical height is 12.7", but say a Dell G2410 which is also 24" has an aspect ratio of 16:9 so the vertical height is 11.8".

Does this mean the Dells horizontal width is more than the samsung? It must be otherwise it would be an inch shorter wouldnt it?
