How high can a Celeron 430 go ?

Little bit surprised with this chip.

Celeron D Socket 775 - Stock 1.8Ghz

I've just been bumping the FSB and this thing just keeps taking it. Everything is on auto so I'm wondering how high and how many volts ?

Currently priming at 3.23Ghz @ 1.328V (auto)

Think I'll reboot and try 3.5

What do you guys think ?

Have you run OCCT on it?

What temps?

Right ... I'm posting this at 3.6ghz and it's starting to feel toasty. Auto Vcore is at 1.4V

running occt & prime95 - I think the auto vcore is too high tbh

edit: Temps are now toasty. 55C core - Surface temp 39C @Idle, however at 3.2 they were more respectable
edit: Prime failed @ 3.6 - Should I go manual and push more volts

No I'm just going to keep it alive for as long as possible. Perfect for the kids

Offloading video to the GPU so it's relatively snappy

Anyway 3.25Ghz seems good enough for now. Prime load temps are

50C surface - 66C core with all the fans spinning at low

1.5 hrs prime 95 passed @ 3.25ghz 1.33V

Seems like I won't have to buy a cheapo dual core after all

Load temps remained at 50C surface - 65C core which is not bad tbh

But a Pentium 4 @2.8GHz would still be faster!

I knew one guy who took his up on a plane that was very high but I would say if you could get one on a space ship that would be the highest

Someone got one stable at around 5GHz on here awhile (a long time) back - it was still walked all over by pretty much anything newer even at half the clockspeed tho.

Yep chip seems to like to soak the juice but even at 5ghz it's still not practical for today's apps
