how hot is too hot?

i have a asus p5e mobo and well it used to sit around 33oC but now when gaming with my new graphics card and this heat wave (lol) its hitting 40oC and the heat sink actually hurts to touch..... is this getting too hot? i have an antec 900 with the fans on med. everything else stays pretty cool.

am i just worrying about nothing or should i get a little fan to put in the case and force someflow over it?

40C is fine though sticking a little fan on it wont hurt. The nb in my rig is at 42C and the sb at 52C so im not that worried myself.

phew so its not just me xP yea i might get a lil fan just to help it along, think i might have one on an old gfx card somewhere, might just rip it off

althought i do have that little fan that came with the mobo for the silver HS thats over the power thingys... but it says only to use that if not using air cooling as it will alter the air flow or something, pff who knows

no room xP got the thermalright ultra extreme 120 with a fan on it, think thats sucking the flow a bit from passing over the NB. so a nice lil screw on 40mm fan would be grand i think

ive got a fan sitting on the back of my graphics card aimed at the northbridge, needs must. Its not quiet though

Ive got a 40mm on my NB with a TRUE on the heatsink, its not a problem for me, not sure what difference it makes to the temps, but it cant hurt I figure.

right got that sorted

bought two of those little blue fans and a black one xP screwed the two blues onto the NB and mad a crude fixture with the black one so its at a 45degree angle on the back of the gfx card blowing air up between the sticks of ram

should be nice and cool now

ayyy its a beast of a cooler

and a mouthful to say xP ill try and get some pics up, i have to move the little fans slightly off centre of the NB heat sink as the heat pipes from the TRUE heak sink was hitting them while trying to install
