How hot........

I think that's normal, my GTX can go upto 70oC or so sometimes. You could turn the fan speed up using Ntune or something to recude the heat a bit if it's worrying you.
 
I'm deffintly not an expert but;
Prime shouldn't affect your GPU temp that much.. I don't think, unless your ambient temps were high that could have increased it I guess. Might be worth reseating your GPU and clear any dust that may be around it. What are the idle temps?
