How I can have wired and wireless internet?

Hi,

I have a problem on my new house which I can’t resolve as my knowledge is very limited.I asked provider(hyperoptic) and developer but no results. The house was wired for Fiber-optic connection. In the utility room there is hyperoptic router, a Genexis fibertwist box, 2 Openreach boxes (a small one which connects with the big one) and an Ethernet port on wall. In the rest house there is one more Ethernet port on living room. What I want to achieve is to connect my smart tv with internet wired connecting the lan port of tv with the Ethernet port on living room. I can achieve this if I connect the Ethernet cable from Genexis box to Ethernet port on the utility room but then I don’t have WiFi as I only have WiFi at home when I only connect Genexis box with the WAN port of the router. So my actual problem is that whatever connection I tried I can’t get wired (for tv) and wireless internet. Is there any chance anybody to have an idea how I can do that? Sorry for the long post. Cheers,
Nikos

That mess doesn't make much sense.

On the router what is the WAN (red) port connected to?

What are the four LAN (yellow) ports connected to? One of them appears to be connected to the largest white box on the wall which makes no sense to me.

What's going on with the Powerline adapter?

A clear diagram is needed I think.

Guessing a bit here, but...

You probably need to connect from the LAN (yellow) side of the router to the wall-mounted Ethernet port. Assuming the other end of that cable is by the TV that would give you your wired connection. If all of the LAN ports are in use you'll need to buy a network switch to expand the number of ports available.

I was just trying different connections to see if any works.Don’t take into consideration the connections in the photos I posted the photos just to show all the boxes which I don’t know what they are for. The Powerline adapter is connected to one LAN just to give better coverage on 1st floor. The other LAN occupied by a Hue hub (for lights) and another LAN for alarm system. I have tried your suggestion before ( LAN to ethernet port or even WAN to Ethernet port but didn’t work). LAN ports are enough at the moment. Many thanks for taking the time to check my post, much appreciated

You've got to have

fibre <--> fibre ONT <--> (red) router (yellow) <---> connected devices

One of those connected devices should be your TV via the Ethernet connection.

Presumably the router is providing the wireless, or is there something else plugged in handling it?

Unplug the grey cable from the Openreach box that is going into your Hyperoptic router currently, it's not doing anything and is just using a port up
