How important is Handwriting to you?

If i haven't met them face to face I do make an impression. I spend a fair bit of time reading patient's notes in hospital and funnily enough scrappy handwriting tends to associate itself with poorer write-ups. However I sometimes meet people face to face where I usually correct first impressions.

It all depends I guess. If it's in the IT industry I would certainly expect people's handwriting to deteriorate due to using a PC all the time and not actually writing things out. I suppose this could be said about other jobs as well.

When I was little, I had to practice my handwriting a lot because it was terrible and hardly legible. It’s a lot better now but I don’t do a lot of writing so it could do with a touch up.

If you’re worried about your own handwriting why not practice, I use to copy out poems and short stories when I was trying to improve it.

It's been so long since I used handwriting that an essay exam last week that we actually had to do by hand darn near made my wrist fall off. My handwriting was barely legible at the best of times.

Bring on reliable voice recognition!

I do like to take pride in my handwriting, if i feel that a note isn't that clear, or is a bit messy, i'd write it again, but then again, i do have an anal attention to detail, so this is probably the reason for it.

I do kinda look at peoples writing and think that it looks good etc, but i don't judge people on it!

Others handwriting means nothing to me although it's pointless if no-one can read it! :p

My own means a fair bit to me though as I used to have beautiful handwriting, but after so many years of typing everything instead of taking the time to write it's rather horrible now :(

Who the hell still writes with their hands?

Only time I use my hands and a pen is when im taking notes and theyre all scribbly shorthand and in foreign anyway...

I havent written anything important by hand in years...not in this day an age.

Do you draw any first impressions on a person based on their handwriting? What do you think when you see sloppy/neat writing?

Does a persons ability to write have a lasting impact on you?

Nah not really.

I have a very decent handwriting and i get comments about it time to time when mate borrow my notes in Uni.
The thing about judging someone on their hand writing might be true. I can write in almost 10 styles (when last i counted) and it doeas reflect my different sides i think.

I think handwriting is important but personally mine is awful. It's readable but erratic to say the least and I wish I could write more neatly! Oddly though I find the GF's writing cute, it's weird how women write so much better than 99% of guys!
