How important is it to install non-security related firmware updates?

Sorry if it's a stupid question.

Just to quickly pre-face it, I suffer from OCD so every time I have to update my router I'll spend hours going over each setting making sure nothing has changed, then do the same thing the following days.

So, how important is it to install firmware updates that aren't related to fixing security issues?

I've already downloaded the firmware and been through the release note and it's to fix GUI issues and a few minor bugs, there are no mentions of anything related to security (in previous updates it clearly says if there was any).

Again, I apologise if it's a stupid question.
Thanks for any replies.

If it ain't broke. Don't fix it.

Updates that don't contain security updates are usually GUI changes (as you've mentioned) or sometimes features that may or may not be useful to you. Your choice if you think you'll use them.

My router and the ones I manage stay in a LTS channel and only get updated when security fixes come out.

If you are that OCD about the settings changing, I reckon you'd be well served by getting a router that allows you to dump the config, and diff it (compare it) with a previous version every time you upgrade the firmware.
