I'm so indie that I only go to concerts by bands I don't like so I can stand at the back, cross my arms and smirk.

I'm so indie it hurts, but I don't take aspirin for the pain because they sold out once they put child-proof caps on it.

So, how indie are you?

So is indie the new word for emo? Or is it something different? Also I thought indie music was just another word for pop :p

Indie and emo are different, Emo is far too mainstream.

"The avant-garde way of life and common enjoyment in wit and culture that isn't "mainstream" but more importantly indie culture offers originality, but the idea of indie is independent so when you have followers of sort it somewhat kills the name.

Those associated with the Indie subculture are often involved with the local art and music scenes, and recently the growing international movie scene. They are often reviewed by peers or adults interested in the culture, but the whole point of being indie (originating from independent) is to have original, independent ideas and way of living."

I'm so indie that I havent heard of anyone mentioned in this thread, or anyone posting in this thread.

But I do have an ironic appreciation for them.

I'm so indie that I don't listen to music anymore. I just watch obscure foreign films, then discuss them with my friends who havent seen them.

I'm so indie that I make up bands that don't exist and pretend I like them, JUST so I heard of them before you.

So indie that you repeat the same comment made earlier in the thread.

Get a grip, conformist.
