How Is Neverwinter Nights 2 Holding Up?

Afternoon, All.

I'm due to receive my copy of Neverwinter Nights 2 in the next couple of days. For those lucky swines who are already playing it, and have similar specs, how is it holding up to a set-up with AMD 64 4000+, 2 Gig of Ram and a 7800GTX 256mb graphics card?

Any help or boasting would be most welcome.

Cheers

Paul

Exactly the same specs as my machine & been running it since last wednesday on max settings at 1280x1024 with no slowdown or glitches other than 1 crash-to-desktop, and one cut scene that didn't trigger until I reloaded the area.

Lovely game, have fun :)

I really don't understand this game.

All the screens I have seen look so basic I would have thought a 500mhz system could handle it!

I really think Oblivion has got it spot on especially with the modding community!

Just my opinion though - and I haven't played it.

It can look lovely at times, like the shadows of a tree's leaves cast over a characters face during a cut scene (not pre-rendered). I personally think it's a very good looking game, the screenshots dont do it justice.

Oblivion is a completely different type of RPG, an FPS one, and I find it terribly boring.

Much prefer these tactical group based ones.

Only about 7 hours into the game, but loving it, takes me back to my Baldur's Gate days :D

Running it 1280x1024, mid shadows, mid textures, no bloom or water effects, 30fps constant :)

Thanks for the info... really looking forward to this one, but a little concerned regarding the amount of negative response it's getting, both here and on the official NW2 forums, regarding the resourses issue.

Thanks again.

Have you seen the screenshots sup3rc0w posted in the maximum screenshot thread? I'd love to see a 500mhz pc run the game at those settings ;)
