How is this cpu cooler?

I have my rig (see sig) at 3ghz, but 3.6ghz (400x9) has always been far too hot, hitting 100c in IBT!!

How does this cooler compare to the artic freezer 7 pro?

I want an effective cooler than is silent when the pc is idle. I don't mind a fan noise under load but one review I found said it sounded like a motorbike under load.

Just looking for a cheap way of being able to get my rig to 3.6ghz 24/7.

Had the 9500 version of this on my Q6600. I was really pleased with it, didn't find it intrusivly loud, had a small speed controller device with it also.

Kept my Q6600 below 50degrees under load.
