Mousemats are largely subjective things. It will definitely work with the mouse, but whether it's suitable for you comes down to personal preference. Some prefer hard mousemats, some cloth for example.
 
This will be my first 'decent' mouse mat. I have only owned **** rubber ones with some printed paper on top.
