Mine is working fine 
Obv I can't compare it to DDR5 because I went this route to save money upgrading but my benches seem to match reviews and the reviews show DDR5 vs DDR4 making only a minimal difference
Edit - I did have to up my ram voltage by 0.05v above XMP profile otherwise I had some crashes, but I'm thinking that's more because my MB is a cheap entry level Z790 board, not one of the higher end ones thanks to very limited choice of mATX boards
