How 'last minute' can you get with a holiday?

I want to get away for the weekend but its 1am on Saturday!- where can I realistically go outside this country for 2 nights? Live in Kent.
Can you get last minute flights online that would say depart in about 6 hours from now? That cant be possible can it?

I will do something this weekend but I'd rather go somewhere a couple of miles down the road infested with the weekend crowds getting outside for the hot weather. Id rather go further away

Mad idea but would like to know if possible without going to the airport and going up to the ticket desk...

You can turn up at the ticket desk and ask to go on the next flight to XYZ if you want but you'll pay an arm and a leg for the fare unless you happen to work in the aviation industry.
If money is an issue you could take a drive over to France for a couple of days, it would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper than a last minute flight.

couldnt find anything leaving so soon and I dont want to pay an arm and a leg. Ah well, was a nice idea while it lasted
