How learn to aim...(Cs:s)

people aim on css? dont lie. just press mouse1. you get headshots. :p
cs 1.6 and earlier though, now that requires aim and skill.

SO TRUE

css is bad, 1.6 for ever

I hate people that say this crap, fair enough if your a die hard 1.6 fan and actually prefer the game over source, but to say "oh the skills factor is higher" is total crap it's all just practice, if CSS was that much easier than 1.6 then explain why the top 1.6 teams are only as good if not worse than the top source team at CGS?

** btw nice find theres quite a lot of CGS articles around for this type of thing **

Guys heres my awesome guide for aiming in CSS:

Point and click left mouse button.

Any questions?

Seriously though why do people make these guides? Its really not that difficult, just aim and shoot at the torso/abdomen and hold the left mouse button cause it will lead up the body to the head. Pretty simple.

Aiming in CSS isn't the problem. Very rarely does the crosshair seem to have anything to do with where the bullet hits, hence why I play COD4 instead, as hit detection exists in that game :p

There is only one thing you ever need to think about in css and that is:

Is my gun aimed at head height? When you see people playing why are they walking around lookign down at peoples chests. Why make it so you have to moev your mouse up to their head? If you walk round a corner and there is someone there, all you gota do is click and booom head shot. Should be a constant reflex to put your mouse bakc up to head height.

If you walk round a corner and a guy is aimed at your chest and your gun is at head height. Unless he gets a very lucky spray or your reflexs are appaling he should be dead.

Also if you are a italy player and yu wana get top score in the game. An easy way is to go T and go into t side apartments, aim at the door from a off agle (not 90degrees to the door) and there head will appear just as they walk about mmm half way down the lil L junction corridor into your side and you can pop it every time. Racked up so many easy kills just doign that alone. Its amazing how many people beleive that if they walk slower at you they can pop round and kill you. No it just makes it even easyer for you to hit them!

And once perfected you stand pritty close to your exit door. it means they can never flasjh you properly as you can run out and back and still be ready to kill them when they run into your side.

I love the relistic damage on cod4, but i find it takes out some of the skill. I mean, someone can kill you almost as fast just by shooting you in the chest as its like 1 bullet head shot or 3 bullet chest shot. Made easyer by the very accurate guns.

Thanks for the pointers HeatoN.

i dont think you get it....

90% of kills on css are headshots... even when the bullets are nowhere near the head....

not to mention every other part of the game is ****

90%? Where did you manage to get that figure from?

I really don't understand why people flame CSS for being a bad game, only reason I can think of is that you suck at the game. If you say it is too easy, then you should be 'pro' by now of course. There are the occasional dodgy reg problems but very occasionally, and sometimes it's down to you not having decent rates.

well long story short im awful at css i play against a lot of cal regulars and i can only manage at best a 1:1 ratio its all good practice though i guess, i'll give this muscle memory thing a go when i have a new mouse (the wife and the hoover detroyed my last one  )

lol :p

It really helps if you find the right sensitivity for you. Try and pick a mouse that lets you switch sensitivity on the fly. MX518 or G5 is good for that, or a Razer mouse but I'm not too familiar with them. Normally I can play at a fairly high sensitivity and my aim is spot on, but for times when I just can't aim at all I lower the sensitivity a bit so it's easier to line up the shots.

Just play around the sensitivity until you find one that helps you aim a lot better. Most people I know tend to play at a very low sensitivity.
