How likely is this LGA775 socket still going to work?

I accidently bent I think 3 pins on the CPU socket of my Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard. I was planning sell it on ebay. :(

Anyway, here are some pictures I took of the cpu socket. I bent the pins back into place but I think I broke one.

Can someone take a look at these pictures and see if they are the critical pins? How likely is this LGA775 socket still going to work without these pins?

Please zoom into the pictures to see the pins better.

Do you think anyone with good soldering skills can fix this?

They work for me. If you managed to bend the other two back then hopefully they will be ok. If the other is broken though you may be out of luck. At the end of the day you won't know until you try it.

I'd try it with a celeron rather then a conroe tbh. I had one with broken pins and it didnt work but with 775 pins to choose from maybe your'll be ok.
Can be repaired apparently but not without expensive equipment.

Some clever bod on xs might even know what those pins do

My dad got some of the cpu glue + bent a few pins on his the other day that seemd to work fine.
My other mate had 9 pins bet and wasnt even seated correctly either and that fired up fine, fire up the baby and see how it turns out

just bend them back, ive bend many CPU pins notably half the pins on a brand new FX chip :o as long as they make contact you'll be fine :)

Even if it works for you, you'd be hard put to guarantee that it would work for anyone else. If it does boot up, and you do decide to sell it, you should add some sort of warning/disclaimer to your ebay entry.

I've been offered £30 (inclusive of delivery) for this motherboard, including all accessories.

Is this a good price or should I sell it for more?
its potentially buggered so id take what you can get for it

Take the money and run ;)

If the buyer knows about the damage, I'd take the money to be honest. I take it you've not tested it?

The pin you think is broken is important. HIT# pin, it is what you called "critical".

The pin above it (you think is ok) should not be a problem even if it is broken. Vss is distributed on many pins.

The pin on the second picture (you think is ok) is kind of a problem, but you could work around it anyway. It is VID4.

If you want to sell it to somone who is aware of the damage and is able to repair the pin(s) in any case, send me a message. This is assuming the LGA775 pins are the only damaged part of the board...?
