That's not very likely. The ti seems to come out around every 1 year 8-9 months . So end of 2018 at the earliest. That's only if Nvidia stick to what they have been doing.

Historically it would be 2080Ti. They do hundred series then do 1000 series.Wouldn't it be 1180ti?
Next we will likely get a 2080 which will beat the 1080Ti and a 2070 that will match or be slightly slower than a 1080Ti. But they will be much more efficient running on a better process and architecture so less heat and noise as a result.
Will grab a 2070 on launch likely myself then see what the Titan Volta performance looks like when that comes and see if I need it at the time, If not will later upgrade the 2070 to a 2080Ti

Anyway it went the other way, we had 4 figures and then 3 figures.
