I'm sat in a room stinking of burnt electrical components because a coil in my PSU has burnt out, so I was thinking how likely is a computer fault to cause a fire?

well if it stinks.. its creating heat...
were theres heat... oxygen.. a spark (from pc)... and easly burnable plastic...
you see were im going right?

also re read what you posted

BURNT electrical components... has to have been a fire to burn...
