How long as Iplayer worked?

I downloaded a moonlight updated the other day and I assume this is why BBC Iplayer works now. Skyplayer still doesn't work.

Also, moonlight has nothing to do with flash, it's a silverlight implementation.

I've had iplayer working for as long as I can remember, Skyplayer just don't play ball however...

tbh flash it always flaky with my linux install
not sure why!
sometimes it just will not work at all! have to restart chrome a few times before I catch it in the mood to work!

Yes i've noticed this as well, kind of surprised me. Even html5 sites like vimeo seem to work much better in firefox. This is with the latest chromium vs firefox 3.6 (stable) and flash 10.2 without VDPAU acceleration.

yeah, firefox just appears better at the moment. Chrome is great at some things, but overall I think Firefox is the way to go at the moment. Not tried the FF4 betas/rc's yet though

Can't complain about flash/iplayer playback through chrome, if anything it's held back by my internet connection.

Was speaking generally...
on both my 64-bit Ubuntu installs Chrome + flash/iplayer hangs and stutters fairly often, whilst FF is generally smoother. 1 x AMD based and 1 x nVidia based.
