How Long Before Smoking Is Made Illegal?

There is a clear link between socioeconomic status and smoking, which indicates that smoking is heading towards being a tax on those of a lower socioeconomic status. Banning is impractical as previously discussed, however a gradual reduction will be made by education and limiting the ability of the smoker to enjoy their pastime. I can see us heading towards a point where smoking will be confined to private premises only and totally excluded from all public areas, or to where the public have access.

I forget this is GD. A place where absolutely nobody ever reads anything that anyone posts, and where people are more interested in simply running in, shouting whatever they think, and legging it back out the door.

I did, you ignored my post. What exactly do you think people will spend their money on that will bring in anywhere close to 2/3 of the revenue that tobacco brings in?

I agree with Jokester - not while tobacco companies are so powerful/rich and pump so much money into various countries, provide jobs etc.
