How long can router hold info

I take it that the password etc is held in RAM and there must be a power source somewhere to keep it in memory if there is a power cut etc, but how long can a router be turned off, when going on holiday for example and still keep the info

It's stored to a storage area so it won't disappear until you clear it or damage the storage device.

It will store the credentials in flash memory. You can turn it off for as long as you want.
