How long do BT take at updating national records?

hi,
i just got a bt land line installed (as of 7pm yesterday) now im trying to get bb but no system recognizes the number yet...so how long do BT take at updating what i presume are national company records/their database???

does anyone have any experience of this?
is it best to call them to chase or just wait a bit.

btw. my number works, makes calls, receives calls etc etc , it just isnt phyically available to companies yet it seems.

Might be worth a shot, but I doubt they'd do anything other than offer you broadband through BT Retail.

I'd give it a few days first.

yeh i called them up, they were naturally about as helpful as my gran (who knows nothing).
the lady on the phone had no idea she basically said just wait a few days and then tried to transfer me to the bb dept to place an order which i thought was a bit cheeky.

anyway checked this morning and its still coming up as not a bt line so il guess il wait some more.
