I don't really sell my old monitors when i upgrade i normally just throw them in the loft
Due to this reason i have these monitors
Two Dell 24" u2410 60hz
One Dell 27" 2713hm 60hz
One Asus ROG Swift 27" PG278Q 144hz
One Asus ROG Swift 34" PG348Q 100hz
One Asus ROG swift 35" PG35VQ 200hz (This is the one am using right now )
Still using a 24" 1080p screen that was purchased about 8 years ago and recently added a 2nd 27" 1440p screen which works well so might replace the 24" with another 27" but probably wouldnt be upgrading after that unless one of the screen stops working.
To me the monitor is far more important then the GPU
For example you could buy the most expensive gpu out there but it not going to give you good HDR, High refresh rates etc if the monitor doesn't support it
I know of some people that has spent around 5k building high end gaming systems and then bought a cheap £500 monitor to use with them
