just wondering now that a lot of games have stats etc how long you spend on a game before you get bored of it.

obviously this depends on the game and the type of game etc

for started i know i spent

25 + hours on Burnout Revenge
25 + Mass Effect
30 + COD 4
22 + Battlefield BC

at these times the value of a game is phenomenal if you compare it to other sources of entertainment.

World of Warcraft was over 150 days /played. Man I am kinda glad I quit that.

COD4 7hrs to complete, never really played since. Was awsome though.

250+ on FF7

Unknown on Diablo 2. That was pretty bad as WoW but didn't last as long. Maybe 1-2yrs where WoW was 3+

About 400+ on FFVII and goodness knows how many on Diablo 2, most RPG's I'll play a few times over so usually at least 50 hours the rest not so much.

Original Civilization, Since it was released, and over the course of my life, Considering i still play it at work.(yes thats right) I must have racked up weeks not hours.

Final Fantasy 7 - 150+
Final Fantasy 10 - 150+

Those are the only games i've racked up serious time on

Mass Effect - 25hrs
GTA4 100% - 50hrs

They are the ones i've completed recently that have timers. Normally just play till I have completed them and then if the multiplayer is a bit rubbish or non-existant, get rid and move onto the next game.

All about the achievements :p

This is MP only mind

300 hrs On Battlefield 2
200 hrs on Battlefield 2142
240 hrs on COD4
100 hrs on CSS
20 hrs on TF2
16 hrs on BFBC so far, and still playing ;)

Oblivion = 125hrs and no where near finished yet.
FFX = 125hrs
Nocturne = 117hrs

About another 50 RPG's @ around 80hrs plus.

In one session around 14hrs non-stop. ;)

Think I did about 40+ days on WOW (like someone said above, glad I quit)

60hrs+ COD4
15hr+ BF:BC
40hrs+ Fifa 08

And I remember when R6V came out for the 360, you could'nt get me off that for love nor money, I played day and night for weeks!

Depends on the game, I like to be able to go back to old games, as there are plenty of games that get overshadowed by newer ones that seem shinier at first:

Super Stardust HD - I reckon 60 - 75 hours at least (there's an ingame counter but it seems to get re-set when updates are released, was 45 or so hours a few months ago).

Ridge Racer 7 - about 40 hours I think, still play it too.

Burnout Paradise - around 30 or so, maybe more - probably gonna be a hundred or more once all the updates have been released.

Lost a few hours to Civilisation Revolution (fun game though trophies would get me to invest more time in it), Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (on 2nd playthrough, looking for all treasures) and MGS4 (on third playthrough, doing a speedrun with zero kills and zero alerts).

Of course there's plenty of games I find it hard to get into (Warhawk - about half an hour or hour since nearly a year ago but I reckon trophy support will swing that around, give me some personal objectives to look forward to :)).

I watch maybe 10 hours of tv a week maximum, so the odd afternoon here or couple of hours there playing games doesn't seem to encroach on my life outside of gaming too much, but it does add up over time :)

Starcraft: 1 hour a day for 4 years
PSO1+2: 3 hours a day for 2 months :o
Smash bros melee: over 500 hours
Halo 3: erm... 1600 games
Zelda games: ~40 hours each

Anything else: <10 hours each

Forza 2..so many hours over a year
StarWars Galaxies: 12-18 hours a day for 3 years
WoW: Maybe 150 hours? 200 at a push!
Rumble Roses XX: 5 minutes :p

My first play through of MGS4 was 36 hours. The Resi games took a fair long time also, think Resi 4 might have been a similar time to that maybe more.

Depends what type of games, there's some that I've spent ages on, e.g: Zelda; OoT, Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Final Fantasy 7-10, Oblivion, Mass Effect & Resident Evil 4. Have each racked up tens/hundreds of hours and have been completed several times.

Then there's games like Condemned, Alone in the Dark, Crysis & MGS4 where one 10-12 hour playthrough is enough and I have no interest in playing them again.

I dread to think how many hours of my life I'm going to waste playing Little Big Planet if it's as good as the videos look :p

Saints row was the first real long game for a console think it was 65 hours in the end, still got a few CD's and stuff to get but all the races etc done!

Between Civ2, Simcity 2000/3/4 and RCT I must have wasted away 2000++ hours! Well before wife/kids 6 hours a night was easy so soon adds up
