How long does a broadband MAC key take to arrive?

Just requested one from BT.

They'd been charging me £27 for broadband instead of £13.65 :/
(plus line rental)

Said they couldn't do anything, only offer me £6 BB for £12 months.

Goodbuy BT.

Just signed up for Plusnet, £0 a month for 12 months, £155 one off line rental.
£75 Amazon voucher

Depends on how quick they want to work at.

According to Ofcom it most be issued it within 5 working days, but I've received them faster than that in the past from other providers, even Tiscali owned Pipex.

The annoying thing is that they hit a button and generate it instantly, take 5 days to send a code that is only valid for 30.
