How long does an iPhone 4s reset take?

I reset my iPhone ready for the new jailbreak earlier on today...

An hour an a half later it's still got the loading spinning thing on the screen and hasn't restarted.

I'm assuming this isn't normal?

Was it jailbroken before?

Everytime I've tried a reset with a jailbroken device it just f's up. Always do restore from iTUnes.

This, If it was jailbroken before it will just break it. Reinstall the firmware from iTunes, recover from backup if needed and then Jailbreak it.

Yeah it is already jailbroken.

I've managed to restart it and I'm upgrading to 5.1.1 now through iTunes.
