How long does food in cans and tins last for without being opened?
Will it ever expire or can you keep it aslong as you want and eat it 10 years from now if you wish?

As long as the sealing can maintain its airtightness then you are looking a very long time. 30years have been recorded and lately a couple ate a canned food of about 25 years to celebrate their anniversary. (personally i wouldnt for fear of Botulimun-kills almost instantly)

Do you not have any in your kitchen right now so you can go and look at the dates on them? :p

You planning on starting a nuclear war? checking if he can survive in his newly built hole with Mr badger but thinks Hey , wait a minute how long are these tins of beens going to last before going out of date  as this fruit only lasted a week ... eeek i know!!! ill ask the greatest gathering of minds since well ..... EVER as im sure they will have the power to point me in to the room in my house where they are stored and look at the strange number on the tin ... but wait? is this number a date or some kind of cryptic code , should i get the bible out and check the numbers and see what it comes up with? * the plot thickins*

Doesn't kill instantly in fact... depending on the quantity it can take days to kill (just 30ng is enough).

iirc the issue with "tined" food is if the can is bashed or bent it can cause the metals to react with the food, not a good thing.

the supermakets are not supposed to sell you a can if its bent in any way
