How long does Canon cashback take?

I'm going to claim back the cashback for a 100-400mm but have been reading a lot of stories of the cashback taking months to come back!

Has anyone had experience of the canon cashback and if so how did you find it?

When I got my 400D at xmas, the cashback was pretty swift considering there was quite a backlog. But who cares...it's free money!

related question - which barcode do you send? I've got 3 on my lens box. all of them?

I did it the last time round and it was about 2 weeks although they told me it would take up to two months.

I got mine in just over a week when I did it last year. Pretty variable, obviously.

I'm about to send my fourth bar code off and I expect the process to take 4 to 6 weeks.

"Thank you for participating in the Canon Cashback. We received your
request on 4/29/2008 and your application is now being processed.

If you do not receive your cashback within 20 days please log on to check
your request..."

A month sounds about right

Just got my Canon Cashback cheque in the post today

Just under a month from them receiving the forms, though from the post mark its taken 10 days to reach me via France :confused:

That'll pay for the Gorillapod SLR Zoooom I ordered during the week.

There is no set 28 days or 8 weeks period, they do the cash back in batches. Certain times of the year they do it all in 1 go. So if you are lucky you can get it in a couple of weeks.

mine came from Ireland, from what was written on the envelope I thought it was some prize draw spam and was about to bin it but decided to open it just in case!

my sister did a 40d about 4 weeks ago took 2 weeks, verey quick indeed.

i did 2 printers 5-6 weeks ago, that took 4 weeks
