Just had to send my pc4000-hz away today to get replaced, refused to run in dual channel as one stick thought it was around 68 gigs in size.

Anyone know if i can expect a new set back this week or would it be next week? Running with 768mb here and its painful :(. Was posted today via Rm recorded delivery.

Hi

I had a RMA with G. SKill, posted them on Tuesday and had a replacement by Saturday (i think)

You will be looking at a week or there abouts

Hope this helps

Hi Gerard,

Sent some PC4000 HZ off last week and had an email a couple of days ago saying it was on its way back. So about a week or so like the others have said.

I had to send to the Netherlands... i'm assuming you all did too! :)

According to royal mail the status is :

Your item, posted on 16/04/07 with reference ********* has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in NETHERLANDS.

Posted it on moday morning and its still not arrived, woulda been quicker if i had got on my hands and knees and crawled over to holland while pulling a jesus walkin on water routine.

Sorry yours hasn't got there yet Gerard.

Mine took longer to get there than back so it may still be about a week.

Just got mine back today which makes a 7 day turnaround. Plus it's brandnew - different style heatspreaders and everything!

Well just contacted royal mail..again. Apparently it left heathrow on the 17th, probably strapped onto a retarded carrier pigeon with no sense of direction by all accounts. Ive to give it afew more days then call back.

Thing thats bugging me (besides my pc being ass slow) is the rams worth around £150, im so used to sending stuff by special delivery thats automatically insured to £500. International signed for is insured for only £30 and i never realised this till after it was sent. :(

My G.skill PC-3200 took 2 months, I wasnt that bothered because I bought some Corsair PC-3500LL ram good job as well, I did my rma via ocuk.

Another update to this, called royal mail again and they give me the web address of the company that has the package.

www.ptt-post.nl

So i go there...and its all in dutch, end up looking through the site using babelfish and theres absoloutely nothing about royal mail tacking numbers, i tried using the trackers on some of their services and nothing. :(

Replacement ram on its way. Not sure why they give a tracking number then when you translate the site it informs you that its unable to track foreign destinations.

Hopefully be here for fri\sat. :)
