How long does it take you to do a complete build?

I will take a good 15 hours making sure everything is perfect and tidy.

I don't know quite how I do it, but I receive things in the morning and by 7/8pm I'm still out there with things to do.

For me it usually takes a few weeks or months from delivery to having a system up and running. I usually get the parts, leave them in boxes until the components are nearly outdated and the prices have been slashed to almost half what i paid for them, then i build them in a few hours spaced over a day or two. Then I bitch and moan to anyone that will listen about it and finally replace half of the components.

ROFL.. quoted for truth! This is pretty much what happens to the letter for GoogalyMoogaly.

For me... normally I'm upgrading an existing machine, so 2 to 4 hours, as I'm removing all the old stuff, cleaning it all up, and then cable tie'ing everything. I then spend the next few days/weeks messing around with the setup, and thinking of new better way's to make things neater/cooler when I get five minutes here and there.

A lot of my time is spent on the install and config of the system, which I then invariably wipe and reinstall after I stick too much crap on it lol.

If I'm building an entirely new machine... then it would take me about 2 hours, as normally I'm unfamiliar with the newer components (normally different sockets.. vastly different HSF designs etc).

If it was a race you could install everything and plug everything in in 30 minutes. But it would look like ****.

An hour to two hours for a neat sensible build. A whole day if you want it to be more perfect.

I rather like what Paradigm's done with his sata cables.

As for the the question. Less than a hour to first fire up. Then again I've never owned a case that allows proper cable tidying potential. The trickiest part is either lining up the motherboard to the standoffs, which never seems to work without some unpleasant creaking  or fitting the I/O backplate.

It can actually take longer to tidy up all the boxes and stuff that are left over. It's amazing how much mess I can make. :D

About an hour or just under, but my case doesn't allow for any real cable management so as much as I'd like to, I actually couldn't spend time on that. :P

About 2 hours for a standard build, and up to 4 for a gaming rig.

If its my own, I've been known to disappear into my own little world for days on end....according to the missus.. ;)
