How long does it take?

I queried about the Prolimatech Blue Series Armageddon Cooler back on the 14th of August saying that I wanted to place an order and was wondering when it would be in stock. I was told 7-10 days.

So 3 WEEKS later it still wasn't in stock but I decided to place my order anyway thinking it wouldn't be long. I placed the order on the 2 September... it's now the 10th and it still says 'In Warehouse queue' in my account and 'pre-order' on the product page.

How. much. longer. Very frustrating. Fair enough that they're still waiting for stock from their supplier... but how long does it take to order something?! It's now nearly a month since I originally queried - far longer than the 7-10 days quoted.

I queried for a second time on the 4th September and didn't get any indication as to how long it would be - just a "it's taking longer than expected"

:(

I just want my new toy :D

1. Uhhh.. well for starters I don't know Martin - I think he was just trying to help, unlike yourself.
2. I don't know what competitor he was advertising in his sig because it appears to have been edited.
3. I mentioned I was from a competitor company in case there was anyone here I know - I'm well aware that the usual forum etiquette is you don't name competitors.
4. The fact we have initials is coincidence. I hope you're not impyling we're the same person.
5. I've purchased a product from OC's - I came here for HELP. It's not like I can ask for help anywhere else!

Nice welcome to the community this is!

Could well be just a bunch of circumstances that added up funny to me. My apologies if I have offended you.

As for help with an order, a post in the Customer Services forum or grab your handy phone would be my advice.

Well I was a little bit miffed yeah. Apology accepted.

I'm not sure what else they can tell me other than to just wait it out :/ It's just very frustrating parting with £60 and having no idea when it's going to turn up.

Yeah, I've contacted them twice and once on Twitter lol. They can't give me a time frame. Which is a bit naff to be honest.... surely they should be harping on to their supplier by now and trying to find out?

Unfortunately it is not the fault of ocuk generally it will be a supplier problem telling them they will get it and the next it not turning up it happens.

Still waiting.... It's been over a month since the original quote of "10 days" to almost a month since I placed my order. I do find it quite poor that they can't give an estimate of when it will be in stock. Surely they should be calling their supplier and asking?!

So, I got a refund a few weeks back. Bit gutted as I was really looking forward to it...

But THEN, I checked on Thursday and it was back in stock AND at a reduced price - great! So I ordered and by Saturday I had it.

The only bad thing I have to say is the packaging it was delivered in was incredibly poor. It was like a big bag, which was fine, but it wasn't sealed very well, it literally fell open when I picked it up. The box inside was also badly scuffed and torn around the edges, like someone had tried to open the box and ripped it. Luckily the product inside was alright. But it kinda tarnished my excitement a little (I know I'm sad). Not saying it's OC's fault, but it felt as though I'd just got a display product that's been manhandled loads - surely there should be cellophane around the box?

Anyway... I have to wait for 120mm fan clips to arrive now...

I am afraid that depends on how it was transported.
DPDs service going down lately ( not that it was really good before ).
I even had a situation once when they delivered my package 'to neighbor' few blocks away... I got the parcel somehow back but it cost me a lot of trouble.
So don't blame OCuk for packaging, blame DPD.
Sometimes it is even better, if you are not in a rush, to opt for delivery via Royal Mail.
