How long does it usually take for a WHQL release of an AMD driver?

Since the recent release of Watch Dogs and the 14.6 driver, i ran into some bugs which didn't allow me to install the new catalyst driver. So i am now stuck with the old 14.4 catalyst, so until AMD release or update the 14.6 driver to a full version (and probably fix those bugs) im playing watch dogs with stuttering:(
How long would it usually take for the full release (non-beta) to arrive?

Cheers.

I would be thinking what's stopping you from installing 14.6
Have you tried DDU? Are you on Windows 8.1 or 7? New driver don't work with Windows 8
Are you installing the correct bit version 32bit or64bit.

Im on 8.1, used DDU in safe mode and all that stuff, but i think my problem is rather unsolvable (or very hard to) so ill have to wait until later versions of the driver to install.

Are you using stock clocks? When I installed 14.6 drivers I had a black screen on entering Windows too but had an overclock set. I put that down a bit and I got my display back.

LtMatt has the fix for that, it's fairly simple. Can't remember it off the top of my head just pm him.

Erm actually im not sure my fix is related. If its black screening at stock and OP is positive he has not overclocked or undervolted the card via afterburner and trixxx then its likely the card is faulty imo.

The fix you talk of can be found below, in case he wants to try it though.

I was thinking of the driver certification bug where windows blocks the driver install even though you allow it.

It involved deleting something to allow the driver to install correctly.

Edit. Yeah I see you have linked it. That's the one. My 7990 did that at stock and this fix corrected it.
