how long does USPS First Class Mail International take?

I ordered a t-shirt from the US and it did not give a time scale of how long it should take? has anyone used this service before any idea on how long it should take?
 
Anything between 1 week to 5 weeks.

I ordered something from the US using that and it took 3 weeks.

It's crap and slow and not insured as standard either, I wont use it again.
 
Generally speaking - usually takes between 5-10 days, not really heard of it taking longer than that and I have sent loads of items that way :)

Agreed. Took me 4 weeks - cost a lot of dough - and got hit with a hefty import tax :(
 
I got some earphones sent over and once they'd actually been sent from the post office over there, nine days:eek:, they were with me in three, although I got collared with import duty as well.

If all goes well, you should get it in a week I'd think.
 
Ordered something using their version of recorded delivery. Handled by parcelforce over here, was with me within the week.

I did get hit with a handling + VAT charge but was still worth it.
 
just out of curiosity how much is handling/import tax? the value of the goods is $14.99 and i paid $10.00 postage
 
Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but I have just purchased an item on eBay from a seller based in America, who has sent it by USPS.

I do have a tracking number which already shows that it is on its way, but I was wondering if I might be hit by customs or VAT charges.

The item cost about $30 + $6 p&p and I believe is packed in a fairly small envelope.

When I ordered my android figure, he was sent USPS. Didn't have to pay any custom charges, and took him about 17 days to arrive. I think RM took over once he was in the uk.

So far my item has taken afew days, hopefully will recieve it by end of play next week... Although I'm pretty sure it's going to take a lot longer..

I have another parcel coming from Singapore and it will arrive early next week and was dispatched yesterday, go figure.
