How long does your AIO last

I've rolled the dice on an arctic. I plan on replacing the mobo / CPU within the next two years so longevity past that is not a concern, as the next build I'm taking the leap to full custom Wc

The arctic and the Corsair H100x has like less than £10 in it. Personally I would still go with Corsair thinking that the 5yr warranty will mean something at the end.

My 1st Gen H100i ran for 7 years before I actually sold it off. It was running like a champ. Have now got an EK-AIO 240 D-RGB which has 5 years warranty so even if it just lasts me the 5 I'll be happy.

Yep, as with all the above, I’ve had quite a few AIOs, the oldest I still have in use is a 2013 Corsair H100, it’s still working silently on a 4770k and still keeping it coool, even with a 4.4ghz overclock.

to be honest, whilst I enjoy water cooling and love the looks, for all builds I have to support I always use an AIO, only my own pc is water cooled.

My H60 got installed when I upgraded from a Q6600 to a 2500K in 2011. Checked it over 4-5 years ago when I changed my case and it looked fine.

I suspect it’s had a rather easy life with being used as a home office and occasional gaming (at the weekends) PC.

OP must have read my mind as I was just wondering if my 7 year old H100i needs an update on my R7 3700X today, this is the third PC its been in so definitely had my moneys worth.

Playing Total War today the top temp on Hardware monitor was 71 degrees and I'm not sure if I can get a better boost clock if I can drop the temps a bit.

I have a Coolermaster ML240R that was free with my X570 Meg Ace and that runs my R5 3600 at max 62 degrees and its not even a stellar cooler so I was thinking a Kraken X63 may drop my temps a bit.

Original H100 and H100i was both in service until very recently, from 2012 and 2013 respectively. Now only the H100i remains in service, this was because the original H100 was just way too loud now (it also has REALLY bad PWM whine from the controller and the tubes were feeling more stiff than when it first got here, suggesting it may possibly crack at some point) and no other system was going to make use of it. So it got recycled away.

The H100i (original, not the updated versions) suffered from wear on the rubber caps surrounding the tubes, but apparently doesn't impact on the safety of the unit as the tubes are barbed. As apparently they were for cosmetic purposes only. Of course I didn't trust a word they said and moved it from the top of the case to the front (after some modding) and taped up the areas where wear was noticable. Still in service now as it's only cooling a 3570 at 4Ghz (barely 60C at full load). This unit was used the most (pretty much 8-12 hours a day, every day of the year for 5-6 years straight), then finally going from the main rig, to the rig under the TV for living room use (where it has more light activity).

But both went the distance and have done well I would say, especially compared to some other stories we hear. In short, if nothing happens soon after purchase, your AIO likely would last beyond its warranty period.

Not likely to have thermal throttling issue at those temps.

I've got a deepcool captain 240 that has been running 24/7 since july 2015, have had to replace the stock fans as they both seized up after about 3 years

It seems like my old Antec Kuhler 620 from 2011 has just died. It was put into my step-dad's PC after I upgraded. He cleaned his PC out the other day and it was instantly overheating afterwards. Sounds like it may have just been an airlock as moving it around dropped the temps but it wasn't staying right.

Luckily he's just ordered a whole new system anyway.
