Hiya guys, hopefully a simple question. Looking at getting a dual core amd 939, especially as the prices are very sweet atm.

My only issue is i cannot purchase at the mo due to funs a little on te short side

How long are the 939 chips going to be around for, are they suddenly going to disapear?

rob get the 4800+

Cheers

:p

I'd say most people are going conroe now so there'll probably still be a bit left in stock until even AM2 die out. I'm really not sure though, just a guess.

Well, you can access the members market on here anyway matey. and they go for even cheaper on there ;) . And there will always be one for sale

Tom

yeah i guess, thanks for that welshtom.

Think i will just have to see what they are like in October. Prob take that long to convince wife that i need one ! lol :D

Personally I think that allthough 939 will be phased out with the arrival of AM2 and intels Conroe, I think the 939 has a few years left tbh. It's "bang for buck" attraction still has a market and its processors range from Budget to extreme. Although I'd like a Conroe CPU, I see no major benefit over the system I have now.

i'm, kinda in the same boat. Not long ago upgraded to a DFI expert, really happy with it and currently running a 3700+. Would like the extra grunt of having dual core and i think if i go for the 4800+ it should clock really well too :D

just want to sit and enjoy it for a change rather than playing catch up all the time!
