I've had mine about a year and it's starting to mist inside.

Is this normal? It's inserted correctly and I rarely remove it to clean inside.

Thanks.

Mine's nearly two years old and as clear as the day it was fitted. I've never removed it or cleaned the visor on the inside.

I can't say if it's normal as this is the first pinlock I've had.

They are made from a very absorbent plastic, so if it gets saturated it won't work. Try removing it and drying it out with a hairdryer on low heat.

I actually emailed Feridax about this.

"Thank you for your e-mail. I am sorry to hear about the problem you are having with your Pinlock lens. I have spoken with our helmet technician & he has said that the Pinlock lens may now be saturated with moisture & he recommend washing the lens with a warm water & leaving it to dry naturally. This should then re-activate the animist properties.

We suggest the lens is washed in clear warm water only."

Crikey. I somehow assumed getting it more wet would be end of world for its antimist goodness. Will try this at the weekend.

Had my Pinlock for 18 months or so now. Washed it loads of times and had no probs at all.
Both the visor and the Pinlock do need to be well dried though before re-uniting them.
