How long has your system been on without being rebooted?

Maybe about 12 hours at max if I go off and do something else, I wont leave it on. I don't even pay the electricity bill and I find a stupid waste of money to leave your pc on Idle when you sleep, nevermind the noise
 
Proir to the 200c Pentium III incodent in my server it had an uptime of nearly 4 months.. by no means the longest around but still not bad.

My desktop is rebooted every night, but apart from that its been up nearly solid for months on end.

so although i may have quite a few reboots its still 99.98% uptime :) its replaced my server hence i leave it on.

think the aboslute longest was my replacement server for the one mentioned above which was about 5 months but then i sold it. :(
 
I usually have mine on constantly from Mon - Fri downloading in the day while at work and then whatever I use it for in the evening then downloading again through the early hours.

What has really helped a lot is the Invisitasking on Diskeeper so it keeps the HDD pristine throughout the week :)

I re-boot it usually on Saturday ready for some hardcore gaming!!!

Nope, not if you've built and setup your PC correctly...mine was on for weeks on end but thanks to the constant nvidia driver leaks every 2~ months i had to reboot else it would have been on 24/7/365 !


On Vista now and it's even faster and more stable than xp \m/

yep i used to stay on 24/7 with xp and was stable did not see the point of turning it off ive allways been a bit supersticious, after a week i think if i turn it off when i turn it back on ill start to see little niggles rear there ugly heads so it stays on and in theory i should never see them till its to late :D

On vista now and im up to a week allthough no doubt it will be longer but i havnt had any problems with extended up time.
my friends allways ask me if im worried it will damage the computer if its switched on 24/7 but the way i see it im just to lazy at 3 or 4 in the morning i just stand and sleep walk to bed, the pc is the last thing on my mind.
 
Up until 4 weeks ago my old PC had never been turned off since April 2005 which was the last time I went on holiday:eek:
I have had several times when I did a re-boot but the PC was never turned off.

My new Q6600 goes to sleep after 1 hour of inactivity which is usually around 4 in the morning.
 
Last time I turned my PC off was about an hour ago. Even though the fans are turned down low, they can be slightly irritating when I'm trying to watch the telly.
 
I can say that the only time Ive used the power on button on this PC is when I first build it and when Ive had a power cut...the other times have just been reset due to driver installs.
