how long have your routers lasted

Had my draytek a good 2 and half years and not a single glitch with it at all.

My best buy is a 10 quid 8 port switch from a computer fair around 4 years ago, sitting in my attack working flawless for over 4 years not a single crash.

Linksys WRT54G that I've owned for the last three years. It gets used heavily. I used to notice performance dips (especially with wireless) but I set it to auto-reboot every night which seems to have fixed that :)

yep ive got a v2.2 wrt54g and its been going for years:)

I've a Netgear DG814 too (5 years, 4 ISPs, 3 houses) and bar some overheating issues when in a poorly ventilated spot it's still going strong :).

I've had my Linksys WRT54G for about 3-4 years now and i've not had any problems with it, nice bit of kit and great with the other firmware.

Have a netgear DG834G which was going strong for over 3 years 24/7 with no downtime to my knowledge until last week when I swapped it for a thompson speedtouch 510 (which itself has had 2 years reliable service) - and that swap was only because my mum wanted a black router to match the phone (wtf?)

I would wholeheartedly recommend either router as they have both given me no troubles whatsoever, and on top of that netgear customer services are excellent

I have a Belkin router  and it has been running perfectly since 2004 24/7.

I am quite amazed that it has lasted so long.

Another Linksys WRT54GS here. Had it around 2 years, and aside from very occasionally needing a reboot (like maybe once every couple of months at the most) it has been rock solid. I'm running DD-WRT firmware.

I had a dlink which I suffered with for two years (never worked right since day one), finally replaced it with a netgear and never looked back since.

I've got the 3Com OfficeConnect 812 ADSL Router, circa 2001. This was back when 3Com made products in Ireland, so the quality is good, and it's running to this day. : )

I set up an Origo 8810 (I know, possibly the most obscure make in the world) about 4 years ago for a friend who is not the best with computers.

Went round there to network his 360, he still has this 802.11b with 1 ethernet and 1 usb! Cost about £90 when it was new!

Says its never been a problem with it.

I guess this time cheap wasn't too bad a mistake! :D

Compaq EN Deskpro P733 (with 3 NICS) running Ipcop 1.4.16 with Copfilter and etherwake addons - been running like a charm for 3 years.

got rid of the old and in with the new dg834n , nice and easy to set up. i am gonna leave it on 24/7 this time lets hope it lasts a bit longer :)
