How long is STALKER??

In hours roughly, i know you can decide how long it is but realisticly, with plenty of sidequests and lots of exploring thrown in??

Cant wait for my arm to fix and to gave enough cash for new machine, and play this beast

its not that long, but if you take your time and do the side quests and stuff then you can get about 30-40 hours out of it, maybe more.

quite long depends how you play i found it longer then other games but worth playing good game

the main issue is, you'll do 3 side quests and come to the same conclusion that every other person came too, theres no reason to do the side quests, no incentive and no story involved. they couldn't be more boring or pointless. its not a very long game once you stop running back and forth for random other missions and becomes probably a 10 hour game, if that. if you played through again, knew where the best stuff was and where you were going you could probo burn through it in 3-4 hours.

ive currently got past where the blockade is, paid them 500 and gone past, then they started shooting me. managed to headshot 4 of of them using my self taugh bhd and bf2 l337 sniper skills, and now ive got an ak47 im happy

no idea what happens now.

There is a reason to do side quests, it enables you to join Duty
or Freedom as you will be offered the chance only if you
do them favours, I keep reading posts here & there saying that you can't join the factions but yes you can & this has good & bad points i.e the opposing
faction will treat you as an enemy & shoot on sight but you can also gain access to areas you otherwise could not i.e in the middle of the bar area where you are turned away
by the guards & if you try to sneak in via the rooftops all hell breaks loose
