How long is your commute/Drive to work

As title says,

I am curious as to how far people are prepared to travel to and from the office?

I am currently looking at renting a place within 15miles of my office, and having a hard time getting any help as I am relocating there.

The reason for my ask is that I am wondering if I should be looking further outside of where I currently am viewing.

Currently about 38 miles 45 minutes each way. Which is probably quite long for a lot of people but it used to be a 75-85 minute 63 mile journey (including dartford crossing), so compared to that my current drive seems easy.

I also dont feel like this is too bad...
My previous drive was about 60 minutes one way

Who are you expecting help from and why?



Surely all that matters is how far/long you're prepared to travel.

Agreed, But as I am relocating to the UK, I am just trying to understand the average of what people consider a normal travel distance to work.
Like there are stats I can check sure, but its also nice to hear about from people themselves.

I mean myself, usually 30-45 minutes I would consider a decent trip.
