How long till CPU's change shape?

Sitting here just daydreaming silly things and a random thought about CPU's came into my head.
How long do you think CPU's will be in the same form as we now know them? In which I mean How long do we think the will be flat square chips and change into other form such a crystal or whatever?

Optalysys have a computer that uses LCD panels as CPUs. They shoot a laser through them and the LCD pixel changes the waveform which is then picked up on the other side by a photoreceptor.
