Hi all.
Ive done some before and wasnt too bad but its been awhile.
Im doing duper simple beef joint from tesco, its on the last day of use by date as not fancied it and now i have to get it cooked really or its wasted.
Its a 1.4 ish joint. Got netting on. Ive chopped a onion, its in a med sized slow cooker oval one from crockpot makers. Ive put a slow cooker liner in. So the onions chopped and on bottom then the beef on top, drizzle of rapeseed oil on top bit of garlic paste and sea salt the big grains type and bit of ground pepper. Wasnt sure to put any stock cubes in mixed in hot water so left it out as hoping to get more of a roast than a moist shredding type of meat at the end tho i know its hard to do in slow cooker.
Its on low now and put it in about 8am, was gona leave it for 10hrs on low. Then maybe wack it in a hot oven to crisp it a bit for 20 mins after tho not sure.
Any thoughs? Just want a lazy bit of beef, a few slices initially for tea for a day or two and half of it to cut up later into bits for some beef curry.
