Didn't really know which forum to put this in so if it's wrong I apologise.
I know the titles a bit of a vague question but basically I've just moved back into halls and I have to install what they call resnet on my laptop to get the internet working. This resnet runs a check to see if you have the latest anti virus and spyware definitions. My anti virus Mcafee ran out and so the definitions aren't upto date. The disc however has the option to install mcafee enterprise if your anti virus is out of date. I tried this and it says its installing in the background and my laptop does appear to be doing something. It also says that it will scan my entire laptop before completing the install. After about 5 minutes an icon appeared in the tool bar which I clicked on and it said active scan which I presumed was the scan it does before completing the install. This scan however has been going solidly since monday night and supposedly has scanned 27000 files as of 7 this morning and its still going. I'm at work now so have access to the internet on their computers but does anyone have a rough idea how long this should take/whether its taking way too long?
