How long will my 7950's last in gaming before i need to upgrade.

main games i play at the minute is bf4, some cod now and then, will play batman when they sorted it out.

i game at 1080 or vsr 1440p if i can, on win8.1.

2 7950's at 1080p should last you at least another generation. I mean a single 7970 atm is enough for most things at 1080p.

Yes I would wait until next year for the shrink and hbm2 it should be a big jump in performance or power or a mixture of the two, that is if you happy with 7950's.

Has to be max settings unless its crysis or a buggy game which i set it to mix of high/very high.

guess i wait till the new set of cards come out , yes im happy with my cards atm, should i try clock them both to 1100/1400 to get a boost.

Mine are doing fine and faster than the gtx 970 I had previously. I think it's only worth going to a FuryX/gtx 980ti level card from 7950 crossfire to get noticeable performance. However I don't think the cost involved is worth the extra 15-20% performance.

I'd wait for next year (6-8 months) before thinking about an upgrade.

Hang fire, or pick up 290s for xfire on the cheap in the interim. I went to a 980ti from my 290s and am very happy with single card simplicity, but I agree that dual card is excellent value in most cases.

I was on the brink of upgrading to 980ti or fury then I got hold of a 7970 cheap to go with my 7950. Well I actually bought it for a second pc build but thought I'd try crossfire.

Turns out gta v and witcher etc run great at 1440p.

Not sure I feel the need to upgrade for a while now!

yeah I'm in the same boat . I have 2 680s . I think ill wait until next year as I'm on 1080 atm but with plans to move to 1440p at xmas

Exactly the same setup here too. I run at 1080p and so far everything runs great, upto gtx 980 levels at least.:D
