How long would a replacement take?

I bought a Vega 64 Sapphire nitro + from overclockers uk a week ago, and it has really bad coil whine. If I was to send it back for a replacement how long would it take before I got a new one, as I assume it would be a replacement from overclockers as it is within 30 days. Would it be easier to just return for a refund and buy a new one as then it would only take the delivery time of the new one to get a new one. (I have enough money spare to do this at the moment luckily).

as long as it takes to check it out and get back to you?

you would have found it quicker to send them a webnote or message in the cs section.

Wouldn't take long id have thought, as they are quick these guys, probably only take about a week to test and send replacement (assuming they still have stock), it would be quicker to buy another though, if you can.

I think its a problem of the Nitro+ cards, as theres quite a few on here now that have whiners.

I've had a replacement 580 sent out within the week. I.e. I posted the card on a Monday and I received the replacement on the Thursday, but they had the cards in stock. With the Sapphire 64's not being in stock might be a problem for your RMA, it may have to wait until new stock arrives - when ever that is..

Also, we know that 1000 64's were sold so it's no surprise that a few have issues. While I think that coil whine is a iffy thing to get a card RMA'd. I would say that I have heard really loud cards, especially with high frame rates, that I couldn't live with. But I've also seen cards that squeal in one machine be silent, coil wise, in another.

Ended up refunding and getting a 2070 as I realised G Sync 1440p 144Hz monitors aren't much more expensive than freesync ones and that the 2070 will be better for VR.

Instead of getting the Vega 64 Sapphire nitro + I went with a gigabyte 2070 and it's very good for VR.
Even if ark I can play epic settings with 70-80 fps.
