How loud are Sony NWA3000's

As title i was wondering how loud these players are..

would need to be able to drown out a crying kid from 1m away. (just an example)

Hmm, you might be better off with noise cancelling headphones rather than trying to overpower everything. You'll be glad in a few years time

. I don't know about the mp3 player, but I have some creative HN-700 noise cancelling phones on the way and can let you know how they are (they are cheap at about £30). If you do want a lot of volume from any player (not reccomended, especially with in-ear phones) a seperate headphone amp will give you more flexability.

As stock they are pretty quiet, too quiet in fact. You'll need to enter the master menu and disable the volume limiter, then it's plenty loud enough.

i was shocked how quiet mine was when i got it. it was a couple of weeks untill i found out about the volume hack

there is a trick for getting rid of the stupid eu regs on these players linkage on how to i have done it on mine and works a treat

excellent thanks.. what companies dont realise is we need to drown out the annoying people on the train.. and just listen to some decent music to get us in the mood for a carp cay at college or work lol..

its my friend who is getting this player.. i have the iH-120 and thats plenty loud.

noise blocking iems > super dooper loud player. though having both is win-win really lol

problem is that different headphones use different amounts of juice. Using my ex71s - the volume slider is about 25/30... but If I use my Westone UM2's at same volume its 12/30.

So if you use an inefficiant headphone you are stuffed with quiet players out today.
